Pimp C laid to rest today

Rapper Pimp C’s funeral is being held today in his hometown Port Arthur, Texas. Pimp C, aka Chad Butler was found dead in a Hollywood hotel. Butler apparently died in bed and there were no signs of foul play, however autopsy and toxicology results aren’t available yet . The 33-year-old rapper made up Underground Kingz (UGK) with partner Bun B. UGK laid the groundwork for the unprecedented success of Southern rap in this decade, and several rap superstars name the group as a major influence. Bun B, and rapper Mike Jones and Chamillionaire were said to have attended the services.
