Hot damn it’s 70 degrees today: It’s time to Break out the sandals

March 28th, 2008 by Betty Scoop | Filed under Uncategorized.

I woke up this morning, and on the news it said 70 degrees today, and I said thank you Jesus! I knew what I had to do. It was time to break out my sandals, and kick off sandal season. Sandal season is the time during the year, regardless of the occasion, that I consistently have sandals on my feet. Flats, flip flops, wedges, and heels it all works. Well not all of it.

This is something I just won’t do. It’s just wrong. These shoes are only for working girls on the beach.

Don’t worry if you are late in the sandal game, and haven’t gotten a pair yet, here’s a selection of some of the hottest footwear for Spring and Summer.

Flats with an Attitude

Last season we had fun with flats, especially with the gladiator sandal. This season is reminiscent of last , but with a little more snap. Both pairs of flats can be purchased at Urbanoutfitters.com. The Jeffrey Campbell Beaded Thong on the left retails for $88 and the black Skari ankle wrap sandal on the right retails for $58

Wedge-eh-Fied

Sandal Wedges are pretty classic in the world of sandals. They provide great support, and they’re cute as hell. You can get them in practically every color and pattern. Both pairs of Wedges can be purchased from Stevemadden.com. The Yellow Pathos shoe on the left retails for $89.95, and the Cerona shoe on the right retails for $79.95.

High “heel” Priority

Sophisticated ladies and some gentleman, will have fun with this seasons sexy high heeled sandals. We all know once the sun comes out, we hit the club in droves to show off our new summer physiques, and the latest addition to our collection of shoes. The Megan platform shoe is available at bebe.com and retails for $149.00 and it’s almost as fabulous as The Victoria shoe.
The Satin sandal on the right is available at bcbg.com and retails for $149.

Alright, I’ve done my part. Please, don’t be the only idiot running around in Uggs in 80 degree weather. That would be inappropriate.
