The Queen of Soul and back taxes

Aretha Franklin has found herself in a wee bit of money trouble. Apparently, the larger than life diva has neglected to pay her taxes, and is in jeopardy of losing her Detroit home. She owes a total of $19,192 in back taxes on the property, which should not be an issue for her to pay off…but then again it makes you wonder why she didn’t pay the taxes in the first place? Maybe this was the reason she was in such a huff during Grammy season, she was dealing with the harsh reality that even the Queen of Soul is not above the law. Who knew?
