The newly married couple has confirmed on Pete Wentz’s website, that they are expecting their first child. So, I guess it’s official, that Alice and Wonderland charade was nothing more than a shot gun wedding, perhaps a PR move by papa Joe. Here’s a quote from Pete’s website.

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

Ashlee Simpson is also changing her name to Ashlee Wentz. Professionally she will use the name Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. She had this to say on the subject:

“I think that that’s something that a woman should do when they’re marrying a man,” Simpson said. “It’s a tradition that I think is a great tradition.”

I get the sentiment, and can totally digg that she wants to change her name legally, but Ashlee Simpson-Wentz just doesn’t quite roll of the tongue. I give her 6 months to get out of marital blitz and drop the Wentz “professionally”.

The Sex and the City movie premier was last night in New York City, and oh what a fashion extravaganza it was. There were some mishaps and some pleasant surprises. All in all it was a  shiny night, literary. Just look at the fabric on SJP and JHuds dress.

The movie’s stars Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis, and Cynthia Nixon were all dolled up. With that being said, with the exception of SJP (who looked amazing), I’m not a fan of any of these looks. There is nothing spectacular about them. This is the Sex and the City premier for God sakes, what would there characters say?

Mary J and Lil Kim were among the many celebrities that attended the premier last night. They both look fabulous, although I must say I nearly fell over in my chair when I saw Lil Kim fully clothed and dare I say looking classy. Her look was my favorite of the night…. granted she is probably my favorite because she usually resembles something that was dragged out of a back alley in Vegas, but none the less she’s my favorite.

The couple were NOT hand in hand in France yesterday for The Cannes Film Festival, those little sneaks. I will also keep those pregnancy rumors going by pointing out Beyonce’s strategically place bag covering her belly.

Beyonce looked great from the chin up. I ‘ve never claimed to be a lace front expert, but I think her hair looks quite nice. As for the outfit, I’m going to have to give it a WTF? What is it supposed to be, a formal sweat suit? No thank you Beyonce.

Mac-donna is letting it all hang out tonight in her interview on Nightline, nothing is off limits. She chats about her upcoming birthday:

“I’m not thinking about my birthday. I’m thinking about what I’m going to eat for dinner tonight. That’s my future plan.”

Yeah…I’m guessing you don’t need future plan when your worth when your worth 850 mil. She also talks about the adoption of her son David, she says she first saw him being carried by an eight-year-old girl and thought:

 ”Oh my God, she’s eight and she’s taking care of a six-month-old child. I was drawn to him and I started carrying him around for her. When I came back the next time, that’s when he was ill and that’s when I really knew that I had a connection to him.”

David Cook and David Archuleta took the stage last night to battle it out for the title of American Idol. The show in my opinion was just okay. I was a disappointed…Where was back up mass choir?(WTF) The judges on the other hand were completely drooling over D. Archuleta, saying he won the night, and he came to win blah blah blah. I honestly was not impressed with his first two songs, you could barely hear him singing on his second song (”Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me”) over the band. His last performance (”Imagine”), was really good, but overall I don’t feel like he was as good as the judges thought he was. D.Cook was also not as impressive as he had been throughout the season. Although his first performance (”I Still Havn’t Found What I’m Looking For”) was phenomonal, I really wanted him to sing “Billie Jean” to seal the deal, but he didn’t. Now I fear that with all the judges hype, and D. Cook not pulling out all the stops, that D. Archuleta will be the next American Idol. Don’t get me wrong it’s not that he is not talented, I will just be really annoyed if this premature, lackluster, little runt wins. That’s all.

Tonight is a goooood night for reality television. Part 1 of the American Idol finale airs. David Cook vs. David Archuletta. I think this will be the best final two showdown since Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard. As Simon would say America got it right. In the previous seasons you would already know who was going to win. With these two it could really go either way. I’m rooting for David Cook, Archuletta is just a tad green in my opinion. He has a great voice, but performance wise he is just not there yet…oh and, he has no personality.

Star Jones is hosting the reunion show for Bad Girls season 2. Has anyone notice how long this season as been airing? SINCE DECEMBER. That is unheard of, the ratings must be off the charts, I know I tune in every week. So get ready for a night of “popping off” and “bleep yous”. And as if that wasn’t delicious enough, we get to see Star Jones working again. First she gets a shout out in Barbra Walters new book, and now a job. Things are looking up for her after all.

Early this week we learned that California has overturned it’s ban on gay marriage. As a result of this monumental descion Ellen has announced that she and long time girlfriend are planning to get married. Ellen made the very emotional announcement on her show today. So after 10 seasons of America’s Next Top Model a plus size girl finally wins . Whitney beat out her competition with her stunning face and bountiful booty. I can’t say I’m surprised that she won. After she made it past week 5, I thought to myself…oh, she must be Trya’s token PHAT girl. You know Tyra has been dying to have a plus size America’s Next Top Model, ever since she told America to kiss her fat ass. I’m surprised Tyra didn’t mention her fat ass when she was deliberating with the judges, you know she loves to talk about herself every other minute. I did notice she managed to find a way to walk down the runway during the finale. Sorry to steal your moment Whitney, but you know it always about Tyra.
