Alicia Keys is on the March issue of Canadian fashion magazine ‘Flare’. Keys talks about her life, where she is today and her glamorous side. Check out her Purdy in Pink cover.

Keys on success: “I have plenty more to go. I’ve definitely reached a certain height I’ve never had before. But there’s definitely a lot more to do.”

Keys on playing up her glamorous side: “I’m a lot more open to it now than before. Before, I was so much more closed. I wasn’t comfortable in my own skin. I felt like everyone was out to change me, and I was so resentful and rebelious of that. I’m still being myself, but now, I’m more open to exploring different sides of me.”

BET Networks announces THE BET HONORS, an evening dedicated to recognizing the achievements and contributions of distinguished African American leaders in their fields. The event will be Hosted by Cedric “The Entertainer,” (I think Steve Harvey was busy)…anywho, THE BET HONORS will celebrate and recognize Alicia Keys for her stellar music career. Other honorees include , Tyra Banks, Dr. Cornel West, Richard Parsons, the Honorable Maxine Waters and CEO Janice Bryant Howroyd. The inaugural event will take place at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, January 12, and premiere on the network during Black History Month on Friday, February 22 at 8:00 p.m. Stevie Wonder is performing…need I say more?….just make sure you tune in!
